August Newsletter 2004
What
have you all been up to since the last newsletter?
holidays, cleaning the car, car shows, drop us
a line and let us know if you have been to any
different car shows as we are always looking for
new ones to go to. Whilst on the subject of shows
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate
(TIPEC) The Independent Porsche Enthusiast Club,
whose national event at Walton Hall was a superb
success for them and they should be very pleased
with the support and show of cars which attended,
if anyone who attended knows the outcome of Concours
I would be very interested to find out the results.
July has been a very busy month here at Specialist
Cars with many cars being sold making the way
for new replacement stock, there is a brand new
996 in black, brand new Boxster 2.7 Lapis Blue,
Ferrari 360 Modena, another Hummer H2 in a stunning
sunburst colour and many new 911's, 968's and
a whole bundle of other makes. Please don't forget
with Don on board we can supply any make of car
which you may be looking for, please give him
a call.
The
service department is once again growing and due
to the amount of clients wanting servicing and
repairs at this time of year, we are once again
extending the staff levels with the introduction
of a 5th technician so hopefully those advance
booking dates can be brought forward yet again.
If you require any repairs or servicing work at
present please contact John who will be happy
to arrange a suitable date.
With
Zymol a couple of new products available are Klay
2 and a Titanium sampler kit, Klay 2 gives you
the opportunity to purchase Klay with the lube
in a much more affordable package, and the sampler
kit is a superb way of having the chance to purchase
some smaller levels of the hand crafted waxes,
please contact Tracey for further details.
We would
also like to take this opportunity to congratulate
the PCGB whom organised a fantastic track day
event at Silverstone last week, John and Mike
"Nobby" Johnson attended along with
approx. 100 other Porsche cars and all enjoyed
a very well put together event.
Track Day
It is that time again and we really need to act
quickly with the bookings, Croft Track Day is
once again being held on the Thursday 2nd September,
after the fantastic May event we felt we just
had to have a further date in the diary. Promising
once again to be a fantastic day out we are booking
for more participants but please contact us promptly
as we believe after the last one we may get booked
very quickly, once again the Croft Circuit will
be the setting of this event with instructors
on hand, a full superb barbecue and more importantly
an open pit lane giving you unlimited track time.
Please contact us if you wish to receive further
details on this event.
Only one more thing to mention: there will be
a few of us attending the national premier Porsche
event down at Brands Hatch in late August, although
it is a long way for some of you, I believe this
will be the biggest and best ever national event
so far, the whole weekend will be based around
the usual happenings at these events but further
to this a world record attempt is being made and
throughout the weekend the Porsche Cup and Michelin
Series races will be held for all the groups,
including Mick "Nobby" Johnson, so it
should be well worth while so we look forward
to seeing you there.
Take care to all our clients and please let us
know if there is anything you wish to have mentioned
in next months newsletter.
Kind Regards
All
