Our very own Mike Johnson scores another Victory in the Specialist Cars 996 GT3R at the Silverstone Classic 2008.

Mike won both Porsche races at the Classic including retaining the Derek Bell Trophy which he has won since it's inception.

Despite being over 100BHP down on 2nd place Paul McLean, Mike powered through on the last corner as McLean got caught up in backmarkers.

Brands Hatch - August 2008

In August the Porsche Open visited the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit.

In Race 1 Mike was lying in 3rd place and chasing the 2nd place man hard when disaster struck and he broke a bottom ball joint. Mike's weekend looked set to be over till the winner of Race 1, Paul Mace, showed true sportsmanship and leant Mike a wishbone.

In Race 2 Mike went on to win with the borrowed wishbone in place but with the steering wheel offset, you can see from the yellow strip on the wheel by how much.

Silverstone - September 2008

Race 1 saw Mike finish a creditable 3rd behind two much more powerful cars.

In Race 2 Mike was lying in 3rd place but suffered from fuelling issues and was forced to retire.
