Retro 964 Project - 2014
We were approached by an existing customer, who has had many Porsches and is extremely passionate about the marque, to build the Porsche of his dreams.

A slightly tired but otherwise solid 964 donor car was sourced. A combination of our mechanical skills, bodywork expertise and the vision of both the customer and Specialist Cars produced a stunning finished result.

Specialist Cars were extremely proud to hand over the bespoke creation to its delighted new owner.

"Coming from a design background I tended to think that mechanics were just oily ragged boffins who knew their way around an engine. Building this retro 964 project with Specialist Cars has opened my eyes as to what a creative skillful and artistic bunch they are, from forming the new wider arches, welding, cutting and painting to fitting the whole thing back together again. Specialist Cars have access, not only to their highly experienced mechanics and in-house bodyshop but also to trimmers and exhaust fabricators. I have enjoyed every minute watching my project progress with them.

The results? A fantastic, fun and involving car which I have taken to Le Mans, Goodwood and Croft Circuit this year. I have never owned a Porsche that has had so much positive attention. Thanks." - Tony Boorman
