In stock now is this lovely LHD Porsche 911 2.7. First registered by Porsche Cars USA in Portland Oregon the car is finished in the rare colour of Aubergine with contrasting Cinnamon leatherette interior. Factory options were 404 (Stabiliser 20mm front and rear 18mm), 414 (oil level indicator, oil pressure gauge), 477 (alloy wheels, pressure cast, 6x15) and 650 (sunroof).
The car was owned by one man from new till 1999, it is believed he averaged just 2000 miles a year in the car, never taking it out in the winter, purely summer use.
From 1999 another Porsche enthusiast in Michigan owned the car, he carried out a programme of restoration to the car, essentially rebuilding it and including upgrades such as new valve guides, hydraulic cam chain tensioners, 11 blade cooling fan, replacement head studs and time-certs, oil cooler with thermostat and 911S cams.
The next owner, from 2001 onwards, was a friend of the second owner and, being impressed with the work he'd carried out, asked him to continue to maintain the car. He owned the car till 2006.
In 2006 the car was bought by a fourth owner who exported it to Portugal.
The car was UK registered in March 2008 and our customer (from whom the car came to us as a part exchange) acquired it in March 2012.
A lovely example of the early 911 in a great period colour combination.
