In stock now is this awesome Triumph TR7 V8 race / rally car. First registered in February 1979 as a 2 litre the car was the subject of a £100,000 plus build recreating Tony Pond’s 1980 Ypres winning car.
Every detail of a works TR7 V8 was reproduced, the car being completed in 2009.
The car has both FIA Historic Technical Passport (- valid for racing, hill-climb & rallying) and MSA Historic Rally Vehicle Identity Form and as such has a variety of applications - not just rallying.
The car has competed on four events only. The Abingdon Carnival Stages in 2010 as a shake down - followed by 24 Hours Ypres European Historic Championship round and the same again in 2011. It had class wins at Abingdon both years. Gearbox problems in Belgium in 2010 saw the car finishing down the order - and then it had a top 10 finish in 2011.
The car comes with a limited spares package including Minilites, a steering rack and a freshly rebuilt 'works spec’ CR gearbox.
